Tuner

Chromatic tuner with standard-tuning targets. Play one string at a time and turn the peg until the needle sits in the glow — or switch to strobe mode and tune until the bands stand still.

Tap start and play one string at a time.

Tuning tips

  • Tune up to the note: if you overshoot, drop below it and come back up.
  • Pick near the soundhole with medium strength — hard picking reads sharp at first.
  • Start from the low E (6th string) and work toward the high E.

Mic not working?

The tuner needs your microphone. When you tap Start tuner, your browser asks for permission — choose Allow. If nothing happens or it was blocked earlier:

Chrome

  1. Click the icon just left of the address bar (a lock or sliders).
  2. Turn Microphone on, or open Site settings and set Microphone to Allow.
  3. Reload the page and tap Start tuner again.

Safari on Mac

  1. In the menu bar, choose Safari → Settings → Websites → Microphone.
  2. Find xpex.ai in the list and set it to Allow.
  3. Reload the page and tap Start tuner again.

Browser allowed but still blocked? (Mac)

macOS itself is probably blocking the browser — this is the most common cause on a Mac, and the fix needs a full browser restart:

  1. Open Apple menu → System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone.
  2. Turn the switch next to your browser (e.g. Google Chrome) on.
  3. Quit the browser completely (⌘Q) and reopen it — just reloading the page is not enough; the browser only checks this permission when it starts.
